The main raw materials of tempered film include glass, AB glue, fingerprint oil.
Glass
The glass raw materials of tempered glass film currently on the market can be classified into the following four categories according to their quality :
1.SCHOTT (Germany), Corning (USA), Dragon Trail (Japan)
2.Panda (China, also called as Xuhong)
3.CSG High Aluminium (China), Asahi Glass (Japan), NSG Glass (Japan),NEG Glass (Japan)
4.CSG Mid-Aluminium (China), Haichuan (China), Luoyang(China)
The thickness of the mobile phone tempered film mainly includes: 0.33mm, 0.20mm, 0.15mm and 0.10mm.
0.33mm is the most popular type because it it’s strong and with good touching experience. SCHOTT and Corning were the first brands to develop 0.20mm glass. and now Asahi Glass and Xuhong also have it too.
Most of the 0.2mm are actually thinned by 0.33 glass, and the 0.15 is also thinned from 0.2 glass.
For manufacturers, they need to choose suitable glass to produce products, because it has to consider both cost and quality issues.
AB glue
At present, there are many mainstream AB glues on the market, but they are mainly divided into three types :
1.Japanese glue for 2D and 2.5D only ( Brands Such as TOYO and NIPPA )
2.Korean glue
3.Chinese glue
For manufacturers, Japanese glue is very stable, not easy to cause problems, and can effectively improve the production yield, but on the other hand, the price is relatively high, but most of them are used on 2.5D tempered film. The 3D tempered film needs Korean AB glue, because the Korean AB glue can fill the fault at the edge and make the tempered film achieve a seamless fit.
For consumers, how can we tell whether the glue is Korean glue or Japanese glue? As long as they know that 3D tempered film will not use Toyo AB glue, in fact, consumers will not pay too much attention to what kind of AB glue the seller’s tempered film uses. As long as they think it is practical, there will be no controversy.
Fingerprint oil (AF coating)
There are many brands of fingerprint oil, and there are also many spraying methods. Generally, the tempered film is plasma sprayed, and electroplating treatment will be carried out if there are special requirements. The low-end methods are hand-painted and machine-sprayed.
